Aron Andersson is the adventurer and Paralympian who competed in Let’s Dance 2022. After contracting cancer at the age of seven, he lost the function of his legs and has been using a wheelchair ever since. But the wheelchair hasn’t stopped him, but rather led him on new adventures. Today he is mainly seen as a lecturer and he runs his own company.

Aron Andersson’s cancer put him in a wheelchair
Aron Andersson describes his childhood as happy. He was born on 26 January 1988 and grew up in a townhouse in Nacka with his mother, father and two younger brothers, Leo and Hugo.
In Christmas 1995, Aron felt pain from sitting down. The pain turned out to be due to cancer. A large tumour grew in the lumbar region. On his 8th birthday, he received his first chemotherapy treatment. When chemotherapy and radiotherapy proved insufficient, Aron underwent surgery in 1997. The operation left Aron paralysed and with full loss of function in his legs. He has been wheelchair-bound ever since.
Aron Andersson competed in the Paralympics four times
Very soon after Aron Andersson got his first wheelchair, he started trying out different sports. He worked hard as a young man and became good at several sports. At the elite level, he has competed in sailing, athletics and sledge hockey.
In 2006, he competed in the Paralympics for the first time. As a member of the sledge hockey team, he participated in the Winter Paralympics in Turin. The team finished in sixth place. Only two years later he competed again. This time as an athlete in the 2008 Beijing Summer Paralympics.
In total, Aron Andersson won four Paralympics:

Aron Andersson was also determined to compete in the Paralympics in London in 2012. But due to a hip injury that required surgery, he missed it. It was also the end of his elite career.

Some time later, Aron Andersson accepted the challenge to cycle to Paris. How to cycle if you can’t use your legs? Aaron used an arm bike. Soon, he made his way up Kebnekaise, the first person ever to do so using a wheelchair. And so his life as an adventurer began.

Aron Andersson is married to Anja Malmberg
In 2018, Aron Andersson and his girlfriend Anja Malmberg got married . She worked for some time with Aron in his company, Aron Andersson AB. During 2022, rumors have circulated that Aaron has been divorced. According to hänt.se, the couple now live at separate addresses, but are still married. Aron Andersson is reported to have said that they are still friends.

Aron Andersson has written two books. One is a children’s book that aims to inspire children. “Aron Tiger climbs mountains” was published in 2018 and is still being sold. The second book is autobiographical. “Opportunities” tells Aaron’s story. From the cancer diagnosis at seven to the adventures around the world. The book is also described as a coaching book that inspires the reader to find balance in life and make the right choices.
Aron Andersson lectures on how to make your dreams come true
After the pandemic, Aaron’s lectures focus on how to change your mental attitude when circumstances around you make you feel limited. During the pandemic, there were major changes in most people’s lives. How we interacted with other people, how and where we worked, how much we kept ourselves isolated. All these changes hit us without us being able to control them. Aron Andersson believes that in such a situation we can still influence our own mental attitude to what is happening. How do you find motivation, drive and inspiration in such a situation? These are the questions Aron Andersson wants to answer in his lectures. He offers digital lectures, as well as on-site lectures.
