The Scanian actress Marie-Louise Werklund was born in Malmö in 1944 and was married to the actor Nils Hallberg.
About Marie-Louise Werklund
The films Werklund is best known for are Confrontation (1969) and Get a grip, darling (1981). In the film Confrontation, she plays a squatter, a person who settles in a property without the right of possession. The film has a political message about profiteers and the individual little person.
Marie-Louise Werklund plays a nurse in the relationship comedy Skärp dig älskling.
Least known in the Hallberg family
Marie-Louise lived with Nils Hallberg for many years and they married in the late 1980s. Together they have a son, Mårten Messiah Nils Hallberg, who has been a presenter on NRJ’s morning show. In the autumn of 2022, he will also embark on a tour of Sweden with the stand-up show “Messiah Hallberg live – A life’s work with a humorous touch”.
Nils Hallberg (1921-2010) appeared in more than 100 Swedish films between 1934 and 1978. So they are both more stage-savvy than mother and wife.
In addition to film, Werklund works as a teacher. After attending teacher training college in Gothenburg, she was employed by the City of Stockholm. In fact, she received a pearl necklace as a gift for long and faithful service in 2010. The following year she also showed her artistic talents through a fine exhibition.
